Did anyone else catch the LP's show "Live from the HardRock Cafe?"

At first I thought there might be a synchronization problem with the video and the audio, but upon careful observation all the backup singers and audience members were singing along perfectly in synch. So what is unusual about this?

The lead singer was lipsynching the whole time. There were times when his antics were such that the microphone didn't even make it up anywhere near his mouth, and still his vocals continued. 1 time in particular he jumped into the audience at the end of a big note, while he jumped, and was jostled back to the stage he barely moved his lips, let alone had the microphone to his mouth; still his vocals continued!

It was like watching a Britney performance, with the microphone on at key points where they ellicit an audience response or talk between songs.

I was astonished.
